So for some reason this one reminded me of an experience I had once in college. It doesn't have to do with opening a door, but something similar.
I went to the "U" and they have shuttles that can take you from the bottom of campus to the top. I got on once and it was extremely packed. I grabbed a bar to hold onto for the ride and braced myself so I wouldn't all on anyone:). Just then this nice guy offered me his seat. In fact he insisted.
I know that might sound dumb to have been impacted by this gesture, but I appreciated his kindness so much. It reminded me that day that chivalry and politeness, in general are not a thing of the past. Simple gestures like this and like holding a door can make someone's day. I'm proof.:)
