Clean Makeup for Clean Water

Did you know that 4,000 children a day die from diseases caused from contaminated water?
More children die from these types of diseases than from Malaria and AIDS/HIV.

Proctor & Gamble created the Children's Safe Drinking Water Program to "focus on reducing illness and the number of deaths resulting from drinking contaminated water."

They developed the "PUR" packet as a quick and easy way to clean water. Go here or here for a must-see demonstration.

One small packet cleans 10 liters of water in under 30 minutes. This is so cool!

COVERGIRL has teamed up with the Children's Safe Drinking Water program and has launched a campaign to help more children get clean drinking water.

They are holding a contest and want to see your beautiful face.
Here comes your part.... wait for it,....wait for it,....

Submit a video telling how you give back to make the world a better place and why this makes you beautiful inside and out.

For every video submitted, COVERGIRL will donate one week's worth of water to a child in need.

Since this is a contest -- there's a prize!

You could win a humanitarian trip to Africa and a chance to participate in a COVERGIRL photoshoot.

For more info and to submit your video go here.
Don't be shy - this is for a very good cause! Hurry! The deadline is June 30th, 2010.

If you're not interested in showing your beauty, you could just donate to the Children's Safe Drinking Water program -- click on 'donate' or go here.

I donated and feel so good about life right now. I, for one, take clean water for granted. Yes, we have our water storage, but that seems a bit unreal that we will actually ever need it for a prolonged amount of time. So, thank you, this is a great cause.
